Default Do degen's stack?

When we cast multiple degens on a foe, do they stack?

Example: Suffering -3, Faintheartedness -3, etc.. Does this add up to -6, or does one remove the other, or reset the timer?? What about say, Suffering, Conjure Phantasm, etc.. do they stack?

even more fun, if your target uses mending and gets +3 regen, you can give him -13 degen.
+3 + -13 = -10 and than it stops.

ok, i feel how you all hate me now, but i have a question. What does that -10 degen means? that he loses 10 hp per second? or what? how exactly does it work?
The same for healing.
Please help me on this one

For each pip/arrow of degeneration your character loses 2 health per second.

For each pip of regeneration, your character receives 2 health per second.

From the Wiki....

While degen maxes at 10, (20 health/Second) additional degen can cancel effects of regen. If a character is at 9 degen and gets a healing breeze at 9 regen the effect is zip but if that Char is also burning ( another 7 degen ) the total effect would be 6 degen.

Max effective Degen is -10, which is -20hp/second. If you add additional Degen, no more health will be lost. However, if the target of the Degen is given Regen (Healing Breeze, Troll Unguent, I Will Survive!, Mending, etc.), the additional Degen will be counted towards balancing the total effect.

You hit a target with:
Life Siphon @ 16 Blood is -3 Degen
Life Transfer @ 16 is -8 Degen
Suffering is -3 Degen

Total: -14 Degen, max shown -10 Degen and -4 "hidden" Degen

The target is a Monk and uses:
Healing Breeze @ 11 is +8 Regen

Total: -6 Degen remains on the target (-14 + 8 = -6)

Obviously, this is a simple equation, not taking into effect length of the various Hexes/Enchantments used, but you get the idea, I hope.

Well, in the sense that degen stacks -- as you've already read many excellent explanations in this thread -- no, you're not wasting your time with multiple degen skills.

However, in the sense that degen, even max -20hp/sec degen, does far less damage/sec than you can do by other means, you are wasting your time.

With the exception of long-lasting degen with very large area-of-effect (disease, Well of Suffering, couple others), degen is never an efficient way to kill things.
